Rowing Memorabilia Auction
The Jeppe Boats and Blades gives you the opportunity to own piece of rowing history by putting 6 pieces of Rowing Kit up for Auction. You have the chance to bid on the following amazing items:
1 x Kirsten McCann Trisuit and 1 x Kirsten Olympic shirt – both signed.
Kirsten became the first South African woman to earn a rowing world title, and the first SA rower to secure a medal in a singles boat (Gold) at the World Rowing Championships (2017).
What many people do not know is that Kirsten first got into rowing as a result of Jeppe Rowing Camps which she attended with her brothers. Be sure to watch the interview to find out more about Kirsten’s love for rowing and where this began Click Here…
Kirsten first represented South Africa at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and went onto represent South Africa again at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. In both events she competed in the women’s lightweight double sculls.
Kirsten has kindly donated an official team tri-suit and an official Olympic travel shirt which was worn in public appearances as a team during the Rio Olympics
1 x Pete Lambert Olympic training tri-suit.
Following the success of the last auction of Peter Lamberts gear, he was only too willing to again contribute more of his Olympic kit to raise funds to equip current and future Jeppe Oarsmen.
2 x Leander Rowing Club tri suits
Another donation from Peter Lambert a proud Jeppe boy and oarsmen and a Leander Club member who made his Olympic debut at the Rio 2016 Games, having previously stroked the men’s quadruple scull to first-ever GB rowing medals at the World Rowing Championships.
Founded in 1818 Leander is one of the oldest rowing clubs in the world. Some of the rowing greats who have worn these colours include Sir Steve Redgrave CBE, and Sir Matthew Pinsent CBE, triple gold medallist Peter Reed OBE, and double gold medallists James Cracknell OBE, Steve Williams OBE, and Alex Gregory MBE
1 x Signed Oxford Cambridge Boat Race 2019 Cambridge tri-suit
This Cambridge Trisuit signed by Cambridge Goldie and Blue Boat oarsmen who participated in the 2019 Oxford Cambridge Boat Race (Cambridge won both events). The Tri-suit was awarded to Sam Vosper who has kindly donated it to the Jeppe Boat cause. Sam rowed for Rhodes University from 2010-2014 and won a scholarship to study at Cambridge. He was selected into the Goldie Boat that would have race against Oxford (Isis) as part of the Oxford Cambridge Boat Race 2020.
